NATALIE WEINER, LCMHCA, MCC
Primary Therapist
Natalie Weiner is a Licensed Professional Counselor, National Certified Counselor, TF-CBT rostered clinician. She comes to Foundations Asheville with a Masters Degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Carolina Greensboro. Her passion for counseling began while working in wilderness and community-based therapy settings in Scotland and the North Carolina mountains. Natalie’s professional journey started in Outpatient Therapy, where she worked with a variety of presenting concerns. She discovered a passion for working with teens and young adult clients exploring trauma, identity exploration/LGBTQ+, transitions, boundary setting, anxiety, and depression. In 2019 Natalie returned to the residential treatment world and had enjoyed growing skills in working with families/support systems to increase success for young adult clients.
Natalie is strengths-focused and works to create a safe space in her office for clients (and their families) to struggle and grow. Her goal is to have students step out of their comfort zones and try new skills while cultivating a personal identity and life they find fulfilling. She believes in the importance of balance in creating a sustainable personal and professional life. Outside of Foundations Asheville, she can be found hiking, kayaking, traveling, playing volleyball, or spending time with friends
